A team of 47 staff members from the Food Corporation of Bhutan Limited (FCBL), led by Chief Executive Officer Mr. Karma Tshering, participated in a voluntary service initiative at Dokhachu Goenpa in Chapcha, Chhukha, yesterday. The participants, comprising officials from the Corporate Headquarters and the Western Regional Office in Phuentsholing, contributed their time and effort to support the ongoing reconstruction of the temple. The initiative reflects FCBL's continued commitment to community service and the preservation of Bhutan's rich cultural and spiritual heritage. As part of the visit, the team had the opportunity to receive blessings from the temple's sacred ters and learn about the history and spiritual significance of its revered relics, including Aum Aka Zatee, Dolma Sung Jong, the Zhabdung Representative, and Ganesh. The experience provided staff with a meaningful opportunity for spiritual reflection and a deeper appreciation of Bhutan's religious heritage. The voluntary service also served as a valuable team-building exercise, allowing colleagues to work together beyond the workplace, strengthen camaraderie, and reinforce the values of unity, humility, cooperation, and shared responsibility. Through initiatives such as this, FCBL continues to promote corporate social responsibility by supporting activities that contribute to the preservation of Bhutan's cultural and spiritual legacy while making a positive impact on local communities.
