FCBL Explores Strategic Partnership with JICA to Institutionalize Kaizen for Organizational Transformation

FCBL held a strategic meeting with the JICA Mission Team to explore potential collaboration towards institutionalizing the Kaizen philosophy as a structured management approach to drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, quality enhancement, waste elimination (Muda), and sustainable organizational development. As FCBL embarks on a transformation journey towards achieving 10X growth through the implementation of the Five-Year Roadmap and Business Strategy 2026–2030, the adoption of Kaizen principles is expected to significantly contribute to strengthening operational effectiveness, fostering a culture of innovation, enhancing process efficiency, and ensuring long-term organizational sustainability. Mr. Shiro Kitaura, JICA Volunteer at FCBL, presented the findings of his assessment on FCBL’s supply chain and logistics operations, highlighting key challenges, improvement opportunities, through the application of Kaizen principles. The Chief Executive Officer reaffirmed his support and submitted three pilot areas based on Mr. Shiro’s assessment. The CEO also expressed the need for technical assistance in soft components like capacity building and process improvement; and investment support for infrastructure development since Kaizen project duration is more than 4 years.
