On 16 August 1974, His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo established the Food Corporation of Bhutan Limited (FCBL) - a visionary step toward strengthening our nation’s food security and economic resilience. Today, as we mark our 52nd Foundation Day, we pause to honour that vision and reaffirm our commitment to the people of Bhutan. The day was graced by Dasho Dzongda of Bumthang as Chief Guest, alongside regional heads, cooperative leaders, and our dedicated FCBL team from across the country. In his address, Dasho Dzongda reminded us of FCBL’s enduring mission—to serve our farmers, secure our food systems, and drive socio-economic progress. Our CEO reflected on our 52 - year journey and the timeless relevance of our founding purpose. He reaffirmed our resolve to build a more resilient, innovative, and future-ready FCBL - one that makes His Majesty the Great Fourth Druk Gyalpo proud and contributes meaningfully to the vision of His Majesty the King. We also celebrated excellence, recognising top sales performers from our three regions - a tribute to the hard work and dedication that drive FCBL forward.
