His Excellency the Minister of Finance Lyonpo Namgay Tshering interacted with the officials of FCBL in Phuntsholing this morning. During his two-hour meeting, he highlighted on a range of topics of national importance; starting from the ongoing transformation to tax reforms to economic reforms to tourism reforms. He explained that all of these, although some of it may cause temporary inconveniences, are geared towards bringing about a secured and prosperous future for the Bhutanese people in the long run. Lyponpo said, we must embrace the change with hope and work harder with loyalty for it will surely give birth to a brighter, safer and happier future for the nation. Lyonpo also emphasized on the importance of National Food Security and said that FCBL must sharpen their business strategies to contribute in attaining the national goal of food self-sufficiency which is one of the key foundations of economic prosperity.
