FCBL Franchises Another Four Farm Shops

As aspired at the beginning of this initiative to nurture our young minds to become more enterprising, FCBL is progressively beginning to see the outcome of it. Having successfully operated the Farm Shops for the last three years, the Sales Executives have become confident enough and more enterprising. They no longer wish to remain as employees of FCBL. Instead, they wish to be partner to FCBL by taking on the Farm Shops on a franchise arrangement. They have seen the market, tested it and found out to be a viable option to operate the selected farm shops on their own but without compromising their service to the people.

In pursuit of this aspiration and interestof the Sales Executives, Food Corporation of Bhutan Limited (FCBL) offered four Farm Shops on a franchise arrangement to another cohort of four dynamic Sales Executives who have been with FCBL for the last two years. FCBL had franchised a total of eleven Farm Shops so far with few more in pipeline. The Franchise agreements with the second cohort have been signed on the 16th October 2018.

This move is based on the recommendations of the government to encourage individuals to run Farm Shops and make it sustainable venture in the country. The Farm Shops franchised so areas under:
