FCBL Marks 50 Years of its Dedicated Service to the Nation.

On August 16th, 2024, the Food Corporation of Bhutan Limited (FCBL) celebrated its 50th anniversary with a Golden Jubilee event at the Royal Institute for Governance and Strategic Studies (RIGSS), Phuentsholing, reflecting on half a century of dedicated service to the nation. The event was graced by His Excellency, the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, along with other distinguished guests. The gathering reflected on FCBL's five decades of dedicated service to the nation, particularly its vital role in ensuring food security and supporting the livelihoods of the Bhutanese people. During the event, His Excellency honored FCBL's remarkable journey, highlighting its significant contributions to National Food Security as well as its pivotal role in the nation's agricultural sector and economic development. The Chief Executive Officer of FCBL, in his speech, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the visionary leadership of His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo, whose foresight led to the establishment of FCBL. He also acknowledged the dedicated efforts of past leaders and employees, who have played instrumental roles in FCBL's growth and success over the past 50 years. As part of the occasion, FCBL unveiled two important publications: "50 Years Through the Grains of Time," a commemorative book that chronicles the corporation's history and achievements, and the Annual Report 2023, which detailed its financial performance and strategic direction. Additionally, awards were presented to the best-performing sales outlets from three regions, and FCBL's longest-serving employees and business partners were given special recognition for their contributions. The event also saw the introduction of new uniforms for FCBL's warehouse managers, a forward-thinking move to enhance operational efficiency. The Golden Jubilee celebration concluded with a gala dinner at the RIGSS, bringing the day to a close with moments of reflection and a shared sense of anticipation for the next 50 years of FCBL's journey.
