To provide prompt delivery of the online Auction services to the potato growers, the Food Corporation of Bhutan Limited (FCBL) along with the Royal Securities Exchange of Bhutan with the funding support from Enhanced Integrated Framework (EIF) procured two additional potato-grading machines. The machines costing Nu. 14.42 Million is successfully installed at the Phuentsholing Auction Yard. The farmers are now expected to receive faster delivery of services from the online Auction.

The online commodity initiative is a joint initiative of the Royal Securities Exchange of Bhutan Limited (RSEBL) and the Food Corporation of Bhutan Limited (FCBL) primarily aimed to commercialize the farm produces and standardize the quality, which would help to fetch better price and expedite auctioning process in a fair and transparent manner.

FCBL & RSEB hopes to replicate the automated process at the production source and the FCBL Auction Yards in Gelephu & Samdrup Jongkhar.
