Annual General Meeting 2025: A Testament to Growth, Resilience, and National Commitment

We successfully held our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on April 21, 2025, in Thimphu, graced by the presence of Hon'ble Finance Minister Lyonpo Lekey Dorji, the Director of DMDF, and other esteemed officials from ICGD, representing our sole shareholder, the Ministry of Finance of the Royal Government of Bhutan. It would be unfair not to share our performance achievements with our business partners, stakeholders, and well-wishers. We are pleased to report to you that our unwavering dedication has resulted in a profit after tax (PAT) of Nu. 62.04 million, a significant leap from Nu. 25.10 million in 2023. This accomplishment marks our second consecutive year of profitability, a testament to our resilience and commitment to social responsibility, no matter how modest. We take immense pride in ensuring a uninterrupted supply of rations to 495 schools nationwide, Royal Bhutan Police stations across the country, and four Gyalsung academic centers, even in the face of challenges posed by natural calamities such as roadblocks and flash floods. With a steadfast focus on our mandate to make essential items accessible throughout the nation and stabilize market prices, we distributed vital supplies worth Nu. 2.54 billion. In terms of export facilitation service, we successfully exported 15,887 metric tons of agricultural produce valued at Nu. 731 million. Overall, our company achieved an impressive turnover increase of 22.98%, growing from Nu. 2.42 billion in 2023 to Nu. 2.97 billion in 2024, culminating in a profit after tax (PAT) of Nu. 62.04 million. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Ministry of Finance and the Royal Government of Bhutan for their support in allowing us to retain the entire dividend. This crucial decision will enable us to recoup losses from previous years and invest in revenue-generating activities that will enhance our financial security, economic viability, and social contributions. These accomplishments would not have been possible without the invaluable support of the Royal Government of Bhutan, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, DAMC, our business partners, well-wishers, and all relevant stakeholders. We sincerely appreciate each of you for your unwavering support. A special thanks goes to our Board of Directors and dedicated employees, whose relentless efforts continue to drive us forward. As we strive for even greater excellence, we eagerly anticipate your continued support and collaboration on this inspiring journey ahead.
